Rodent Facts

Rodents are warm-blooded mammals that, like humans, can be found throughout the world. They have oversized front teeth for gnawing and check teeth, which are adapted for chewing. Rodents chew on anything available to them and cause great damage in and around homes.

Rodents tend to be rapid breeders. Some species breed year-round. Although certain mice are known for short life spans due to predation, populations are maintained through constant reproduction. Because most rodents possess soft cartilage, they are capable of squeezing through spaces that appear to be much too small for them.

Rats and mice are both extremely destructive. The feces and urine of some rodents may contaminate surfaces with which they come into contact. If you have a rodent problem, don’t delay. Call SoFlo Wildlife Trapping & Removal, LLC. for an inspection and estimate.

Mice are a huge problem in South Florida. These rodents cause damage and carry disease. Also, did you know that rodents are the greatest cause of undetermined home fires?

A Different Rodent For Everyone

In South Florida we have three different rodents. They are:

House Mouse
Deer Mouse
Norway Rat

All three are equally destructive, and all three are controllable with our rodent control process. This process includes:

  • Positive identification: Knowing which rodent you’re dealing with is a must as not all rodents are treated the same.
  • Inspection: A thorough inspection will provide clues into where the rodents are living and what different food sources they are using.
  • Extermination: We use baits and highly effective traps to catch rodents and get knock down of the population.
  • Exclusion: We offer additional services that can provide for the long term exclusion of rodents. Our rodent exclusion services blocks off all the most common entry points into your home or business.
  • Exterior Baiting: We can install exterior perimeter stations for pet protection before rodents make it into your home.

SoFlo Wildlife Trapping & Removal, LLC. recommends that most all homes or businesses use a regular program to control mice. The frequency of your service depends on the severity of the problem.
